Questions sellers ask
Do my customers need to download anything?
No. They keep messaging your WhatsApp number or your Instagram account the way they do today. Only your team uses Counter.
Can I use the WhatsApp number I already have?
You connect your number through Facebook in Settings, using Meta’s official WhatsApp Business Platform. You need a Facebook account to do it.
A number that is still being used in the WhatsApp Business app on a phone cannot be connected yet.
Does Counter hold my money?
No. Customers pay into your own bank account. Counter sends them your account details and the amount, and keeps a record of which staff member checked that the money arrived, and when.
Can my staff see my bank details and sales?
Only if you let them. Owners see everything, including bank details. Admins see every chat and the dashboard and manage the team. Agents see new chats, their own chats and orders.
What happens when the free trial ends?
Choose a plan and pay by transfer or card. If you don’t, everything keeps working for 7 more days, then your inbox becomes read-only. Nothing is deleted, and paying turns it back on.
Will it work on my phone?
Yes. Counter runs in the browser and was built for everyday Android phones on slow networks. Add it to your home screen and turn on notifications so you never miss a new chat.
Can I reply to Instagram messages too?
Yes. Link an Instagram professional account that is connected to a Facebook Page, and its direct messages, photos, story replies and mentions arrive in the same inbox.
